AQUACUTTER HYDRODEMOLITION ROBOT
Hydrodemolition is a technique whereby high-velocity water jets
are directed against a surface to produce a mechanically destructive
effect, without the disadvantages of inducing vibrations and micro-cracking.
Whilst cutting concrete with water jets has been successfully used
for decades, the problem of efficiently removing concrete layers
of constant or variable thickness has only recently been addressed.
The AQUACUTTER has been designed to selectively remove layers of
weak or defective concrete, by accurately controlling the movement
and speed of the water jet and the length of time directed at the
surface, to a preset quality depth.
Programming and monitoring of the process is simple, through the
built-in computer system.
